TAE40110 Certificate IV Training & Assessment

This qualification reflects the roles of individuals delivering training and assessment services in the vocational education and training (VET) sector. Achievement of this qualification or an equivalent by trainers and assessors is a requirement of the Australian Quality Training Framework Essential Standards for Registration. This qualification, or the skill sets derived from units of competency within it, is also suitable preparation for those engaged in the delivery of training and assessment of competence in a workplace context, as a component of a structured VET program.

BSB50215 Diploma of Business

This qualification would apply to individuals with various job titles including executive officers, program consultants and program coordinators. Individuals in these roles may possess substantial experience in a range of settings, but seek to further develop their skills across a wide range of business functions. Conversely, it may also apply to those with little or no vocational experience, but who possess sound theoretical business skills and knowledge that they would like to develop in order to create further educational and employment opportunities.

On successful completion of both courses a participant will be able to:
  • Manage a business environment and undertake projects
  • Recruit and manage staff
  • Ensure a safe workplace and manage risk
  • Install successful marketing plans
  • Organise continuous improvement activities for a workplace and team
  • Be a qualified trainer and assessor in their field of expertise, which may include business qualification

Location

This course is delivered at our Melbourne City Campus, 62-64 Little Latrobe Street, where you will have free access to computers, the internet and printing. We also have individual study rooms that can be booked out for student use at no extra cost.

Duration

The combined course model will go for 50 weeks, with scheduled classes of 3 days per week. We have small classes which allows you to have a lot of support from the trainer and assessor.

International Students

This course is available to international students with valid study rights. You must be 18 years old, hold at least a year 10 equivalent of studies, and an IELTS overall score of 5.5 or above. Please refer to our CRICOS website for more details www.iascend.edu.au.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

You can ask for your relevant existing skills, qualifications and experience to be assessed and taken into account when your level of competency is being assessed. There will be a cost associated — please refer to the statement of fees and charges.

Credit Transfer (CT)

If you have previously completed a unit with the same unit code as in your new course you will be eligible for a credit transfer and you will not have to repeat that unit. There is no cost associated with this process, but you will need to complete a credit transfer application.

Support Services

If you need support with your progress through your course or other personal issues we have a student services officer who can help you or direct you to the most appropriate external service. Call 1300 36 883 and ask for the Student Services Officer or make an appointment to come see us in person. We can provide extra tutoring at head office if you have missed class due to extenuating circumstances or require additional help. We can also direct you to specialist agencies to help develop language literacy and numeracy (EAL courses).
